Within the palace grand,
a humble servant devises a plan,
to poison one of great esteem,
a nobleman who is quite supreme.

With great care, the servant prepares,
a tasty tea with a hidden snares;
Poured from porcelain with grace
great danger will be unleashed in this place.

A banquet is set, many guests arrive
the nerves of the servant begin to thrive.
His target mingles among the crowd,
the nobleman all fine and proud.

The servant pours the tea so fine,
a vicious act, a dark design,
and then flits away to his post,
a servant - humble at the most.

The nobleman drinks with great flair,
Unaware of the danger there,
the servant peers on with a sly smile,
his mission complete, his task worthwhile.

In a moment, a sudden twist of fate,
the nobleman shakes and gyrates,
to the floor he falls, gasping in pain,
the servant pauses - his gaze so plain.

Chaos swirls, guards rush to noble's side,
the servant slips away to hide.
With secrets kept and mission done,
the servant's legacy is yet to come.

The servant casts aside his guise,
more secret agent than servant wise.
For in the shadows, agents thrive
their missions grave, their cause alive.

In to the night the agent leaves,
relishing in all he achieves,
for though their deeds are oft unseen,
their impact echoes, strong and keen.
